Presented by Upstate Orthopedics, we’ve been conquering the steepest hills of Syracuse for 48 years—bringing our incredible community together to prove we are truly the GOAT (Greatest Race Of All Time!).
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just a little kid at heart, we have events for all ages and skill levels. No need to butt heads over the challenge; our course is packed with spectacular views, energetic spectators, and live entertainment to keep you hoofing it to the finish line.

Herd It Here First: The 10 Mile GOAT Starts In
Our original and unsupported 18+ mile event established in 1978 by the YMCA Mountain Goats.
A paw-some opportunity for pets and their owners to participate on race day!

Elite Runners
All elite entries are subject to a discounted registration fee. To be considered as an elite entry, please submit your request to mountaingoatrun@gmail.com. Each athlete is required to submit a request in accordance with the procedures described herein.
Please include the following information:
- Full name, Mailing address, phone number, Age/Date of Birth, Sex, Citizenship
- Listing of previous races that include Race Name, Date, Finish Time and Place
- What is your goal for our 10 Mile event
