Meet at the MOST for location assignment on the course, go to location to direct runners where to turn. Pick up your safety vest at the Most before going to your assigned intersection.


All volunteers for the Mountain Goat Race will receive the prestigious "Goat Herder" t-shirt, and those of age are eligible to receive a wristband for post race party beer.

GOAT Earth Day Cleanup

Help clean up our route through the City on Earth Day weekend! We hope to cover a few sections/miles with volunteers to clean up trash along our city streets where the Race is run. Only one-to-two hours! We will supply trash bags; bring your gloves!

Race Day

Open - willing to be assigned in Clinton Square to various duties

Many tasks are needed day of race in Clinton Square and as a volunteer you may be asked to perform a variety of duties. Bring along a pair of boots. Sometimes there are puddles to work around in Clinton Square.

All volunteers for the Mountain Goat Race will receive the prestigious "Goat Herder" t-shirt, and those of age are eligible to receive a wrist band for post race party beer.

TRAFFIC/INTERSECTION CONTROLLERS

You must be 16-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

TRAFFIC/INTERSECTION CONTROLLERS: Race Day May 4, 2025, 9:00am - 12:30pm
Volunteers close intersections, set up blockades and direct runners along the race route. Must be at least 16 yrs. old.

AFTER 4PM ON EVE OF RACE DAY, THIS WILL NO LONGER BE MONITORED. PLEASE CALL OR TEXT LEN AT 315-209-9100 IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN TRAFFIC CONTROL ASSIST.

TRAFFIC CAPTAINS

You must be 16-80 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

TRAFFIC CAPTAINS: Race Day May 4, 2025, 9:00am-12:30pm
Volunteers will supervise traffic controllers for a one mile segment and must recruit at least TEN (10) volunteers to work with them on their mile.
*This position earns special volunteer monetary incentives for the 501c3 of their choice!*

FINISH LINE CHUTE MOVERS

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

FINISH LINE CHUTE MOVERS: Race Day May 4, 2025, 9:00am-12:30pm
Volunteers assemble at the finish line to help guide runners across the finish line and through the finish line area.

All volunteers for the Mountain Goat Race will receive the prestigious "Goat Herder" t-shirt, and those of age are eligible to receive a wristband for post race party beer.

WATER SET UP & DISTRIBUTE

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

You will be working at a Water Table. 8:45 am until 12:00 pm.
You will be contacted the week of the race by the task mgr. for final coordination.
